Adding a good amplifier for your car stereo improves the sound tremendously. While choosing the right one for your car, ask the salesperson for the power ratings required which are determined by existing stereo and speakers. Compare the amplifiers with their ohm ratings. Listen to the performance of the amplifier. Check the size to ensure that it fits into your car. You need to decide where you intend to put the amplifier first. There are three types of amplifiers available. Mono, two channel and four channel amplifiers. Look for one with low pass filter.

Orion 2500D car amplifiers are beasts. They have a power output of 2500 watts to 1 ohm load. The amplifier is capable of driving many subwoofers and it can drive them pretty hard. If you desire to put together a subwoofer setup including 4 subs, this amplifier is capable of handling it.

Trucks have a limited space for the subwoofer box. Building the box can many times turn out to be a tricky task. The subwoofer boxes for the trucks are tall, wide and thin. Although such a box is suitable, it needs to be built with a certain interior volume in order to accommodate the subwoofer. In case if the interior volume of the subwoofer box is very small or too big, the performance of the subwoofer suffers. Here are the instructions for building subwoofer box for a truck:

1. Correctly measure the space where the subwoofer box is to be installed.

2. Calculate the dimensions and size of the subwoofer box.

3. Cut and properly label the six sides of the box. Also draw a hole for subwoofer in front panel. Also cut the holes with a jigsaw.

4. Assemble all four sides of the subwoofer box with screws. Drill three holes along the seam and glue it to increase the strength. Seal the interior of the box with silicon caulking.

Here is how to do it:

1. Set the iPhone to not sync automatically to iTunes and vice versa. For this, connect to your pc, in iTunes click “Summary”. Now uncheck “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected”. Now iTunes will not come up when you connect the iPhone. Sync can be started manually.

2. Now for setting iTunes, go to iTunes -> Preferences (for Mac) Edit -> Preferences (for pc). Uncheck “Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones.”

3. Click “Summary”-> Sync or Apply if you have changed the sync settings.

4. Go to “Music”. Here collect all or a favorite playlist. All the audios will load here.

5. Go to “Video”. Now, same as above.
6. You can also transfer photos. Just go to “Photo” pane and bring them over. You might be required to format them however. If they are already formatted, just have them in a folder and move them over.

You might need to sync your iPod with new computer in event of a crash; for saving the uploaded music. Here is how:

1. Begin with Start -> My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders -> OK. Now keep the My Computers open.

2. Plug in the iPod you wish to sync. Open the iTunes. Now click the iPod icon -> Exit the box that appears without clicking “Yes” otherwise the music will get deleted. Click the “Enable disk use” option from the iTunes screen.

3. Go to My Computer. You will see your iPod’s icon under “Devices with Removable Storage”. Click on it. Open “iPod_Control” folder -> Music ->copy all folders -> paste them on desktop -> minimize My Computers window.

4. Go to iTunes window and “File” -> “Add Folder to Library” -> Add the folders from the desktop one by one to Library.

5. Remove the iPod from the pc and replug after 10 seconds. If you get a message asking to sync the iPod, click “Yes”.

You need to jailbreak the iPod for installing custom applications, ringtones etc. You need to remove the firmware restrictions by Apple. It is completely safe to do this if done properly. Previously it required opening up the actual iPod which voided its warranty.

Instructions:

1. Ensure that the iPod is running .3 or .4 firmware. This is visible when iPod is connected in iTunes. At first go to: http://download.ziphone.org/ and download Mac or Windows version of jail breaking software. Install it and extract the files to a folder on your pc. Go to this folder and open the exe file.

2. Ensure that iPod is connected via USB cord and hit “Jailbreak” button on left.

3. Keep the iPod connected and allow the jailbreaking software to do its stuff for a few minutes until done.
That’s that. It is done. Unplug the iPod and enjoy your new found freedom.

Here are instructions for transferring your music:
1. Connect the gadget iPod to your computer using the USN cable. Now open “My Computer” or “Computer” from the “Start” menu and find iPod drive. The iPod logo can be seen here in the list of disk drives.

2. If you are using Windows XP, open the iPod drive -> Tools -> Folder options -> View -> click show hidden files and folder -> Apply.

3. The steps above should give you a new folder called ipod_control. Open it. Following is visible: Contacts, notes, Calendar, ipod_control, photos etc. For saving all your music, only the ipod_control folder is required.

4. Open ipod_control -> music -> Copy all the folders on your computer.

5. Open iTunes and insert the new folder on your computer into: library -> Music. Now you can sync the iPod to the new computer without losing your music.
